Free, Fun Science Enrichment Program for Kids at the Millinocket Memorial Library!

Millinocket Memorial Library will be hosting Maine Discovery Museum’s “Science in the Summer!”

Think and dream about BIGGER stuff like outer-space and the universe! Use the sun’s rays for amazing experiments and cool art! Make orbiting space objects! Play with edible moon phases and glowing constellations! Test “space suits” against shooting micrometeorites. Lift off with mini rockets. Deep dive into outer space with virtual reality goggles!

This exciting, free program is open to children from kindergarten to 8th grade. Each day will focus on a different part of the program and Day 2 will build upon the work from Day 1. Children should attend both days for the full program. All children that attend the full workshop will receive a backpack and goodies at the end of Day 2!

GSK Science in the Summer, a program brought to you by Franklin Institute, GSK, and the Maine Discovery Museum, delivers free science and enrichment to elementary-aged children. When school is out, science is in!
