The Millinocket Memorial Library is pleased to offer the use of our Community Room to area groups, clubs and organizations. The Community Room seats approximately 50 people and equipped with an audio visual system.
To apply to use the room, we ask you visit the library and sign-up at the Circulation Desk. Reservations will be made on a first-come, first-served basis, with priority given to programs by the Library and the Friends of the Library. The Library does reserve the right to cancel a scheduled meeting with appropriate notice if the room is needed for library programming.
We ask that groups, clubs and organizations cancel any reservation by contacting the Library as soon as they become aware the room will not be needed. To avoid confusion, we ask cancellations be made no later than 48 hours of the scheduled reservation. Reasonable accommodation will be made to reschedule programs that are cancelled or delayed for weather-related emergencies.
Activities Permitted ~ The group, club or organization wishing to use the Community Room is requested to indicate the date, intended use and the number of people expected to be present.
The following uses are specifically permitted; others may be permitted at the discretion of the Library Director:
- Lectures, film showings and demonstrations
- Community programs
- Service of beverages, sandwiches, and light snacks; groups must provide their own supplies.
Activities Not Permitted ~ The following uses are specifically not permitted:
- Service of full course meals
- Alcoholic beverages
Please Note: No group or organization shall be denied space due to age, sex, race, beliefs or affiliations of its members. Failure to adhere to the following guidelines may result in the suspension of a group’s privilege to use any Library meeting space.
