Registration is open for our 2021 Summer Reading Challenge! Kids ages 0-18 can earn badges for completing activities, logging reading, attending programs, and more.
Register online or visit the library during our open hours to register in person and receive a traditional paper log.
The library is now open during the following hours for both in-person and curbside service, with COVID restrictions in place:
• Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays: 10am – 5pm
• Tuesdays: 1pm – 5pm
The summer gear library will be open starting June 14th during library open hours, offering mountain bikes, fat tire bikes, kayaks, canoes, and paddle boards. Most gear can be checked out for 1 week with a 1 week renewal. Call us at (207) 723-7020 or click the link below to reserve gear and learn more.
The library helped launch Mobilize Katahdin, a group dedicated to connecting people to information and local resources during the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond. Learn more, get assistance, or get involved by visiting their website or calling (207) 370-1581.
The library is supported by a team of more than 20 volunteers who work at the circulation desk, organize programs, prepare and repair books, maintain our facility, and more.
