HOW IT WORKS

Anyone can become a member. Members can check out gear for free for 2 days. To check out gear for longer, members can rent by the day or week. A membership lasts for one year.

  • Visitors: For visitors to the region, an individual membership costs $45/year OR a household membership costs $150/year.
  • Katahdin Region* Residents: Membership is FREE, but you are required to attend 1 workshop or volunteer event per year. View our calendar of upcoming events here.

*Katahdin Region towns include: Millinocket, East Millinocket, Medway, Sherman, Stacyville, Patten, Mt. Chase, & Island Falls.

You can sign up to become a member at the gear library during our open hours.

WHY SHOULD I BECOME A MEMBER?

Like a season pass, a membership allows you or your household to access 2 days of gear rentals for free for the year. You’ll also be the first to hear about updates and events, and you’ll receive a KGL sticker. Being a member is an investment in maintaining our programs, our gear, and our space for all.
