Friends of MML

The Friends of the Millinocket Memorial Library (FMML) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Although it is separate from the library, it consists of community members dedicated to serving the library. The Friends support and promote public funding of the library through organizing various sales, raffles, and events, including an annual book sale, plant sale, Valentine’s Day tea, and auction.

The need for a strong library is greater than ever, particularly with the financial challenges facing libraries nationwide. As a small community, it’s even more important we create an awareness of library services and seek to increase Friends membership. Becoming a Friend of the library is a great way to make a difference in Millinocket. To join, please fill out the following membership form or ask for a print version at the library Circulation Desk.

  • Whether or not you choose to be a member, you are always welcome to join us for periodic meetings to discuss the needs of the library and suggestions and ideas on how we can help. We are very open to new ideas, fundraising activities and community projects.
  • Membership costs $12 per year per person. To pay, please write a check payable to the Friends of Millinocket Memorial Library and either drop it off at the library or mail it to: 5 Maine Ave Millinocket, ME 04462

Donations of any size are welcome! Money raised is used for library materials and other operating costs. All donations are tax-deductible.

Donations may also be made in person at the library or mailed to:
