Library Update

July 12, 2021

With summer in full swing, we wanted to let you in on some exciting changes here at the library. With two new staff on board we’re thrilled to be able to expand our hours, improve our interlibrary loan service, and offer you increased access to computers and meeting rooms

We’ve expanded our hours and are now open Monday-Friday from 10-5 for in-person services. We hope you have a chance to come on in and enjoy the renovated space and everything it has to offer. If you prefer to use the library curbside, give us a call and we’ll assist you.

With your Millinocket library card you can get your hands on almost any book or DVD in Maine in just a few days, and with our recently expanded interlibrary loan service your requests will be arriving faster than ever. You can search our catalog and request items online or we’re happy to help you out in person or over the phone.

We’ve installed several new public computer stations upstairs to give you increased access to the internet and other digital resources. Computers may be reserved for up to an hour a day. Printing, copying, and faxing services continue to be available.

Currently, we have two meeting rooms that can be reserved for up to two hours per day. The Katahdin Think Tank will be available for group use soon.

Thanks to generous funding from the Sewall Foundation, we were able to bring on two new full-time staff members in June. They look forward to connecting with you and serving the library community.

It’s our hope that these changes will make our space, our collection, and our services as accessible as possible.

See you at the library!
